Weekend in Haifa: Sunset, Architecture, and St. Peter’s Church

In September 2024, I traveled to Israel for work. During the weekend, I had the chance to visit Haifa, a city that quickly captured my heart.
Haifa is known for its beautiful coastal scenery and rich mix of cultures. As I wandered through the city, I was struck by the stunning architecture—a blend of old and new, with intricate details that reflect the city’s layered history.
But what truly made the day memorable was the sunset over the Mediterranean. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and gold, was simply breathtaking.
One highlight of my visit was seeing St. Peter’s Church. Although I couldn’t go inside, viewing it from the outside was still a meaningful experience. Its quiet presence and historical charm stood out against the backdrop of the modern city—a reminder of Haifa’s spiritual and cultural roots.
Haifa left a lasting impression on me, and I’m glad I took the time to explore beyond work. I hope to return someday and see even more.
